Britain Mill

at Turnback Creek

A restored mid-19th Century mill in the Missouri Ozarks, located on old Route 66.

The first gristmill at this site was established in 1840.  Custom and merchant milling was continuous for over a century.
The current structure was restored in 1976 and rehabilitated in 2005.

The mill is open for tours and demonstrations by appointment.

Currently, processing is limited to corn meal and grits.
